55/45% pinot noir/chardonnay. The base vintage is 2018 with reserve wines added; 40 months on lees. Disgorged October, 2021. 8g/L dosage. A finely beaded, salmon-pink sparkling that rates among Australia's best. Confidently presented with complexity and poise, Altair wears a delicate sheen of savoury autolysis with almonds, baked pastry, poached pear, bright red berries aromas. Layer upon layer of delicate flavour, texture and depth. Runs fine, long and so impressive. All class.

The latest (October 2020) disgorgement of this traditional-method pale blush beauty reveals riper and richer pinot-oriented strawberry characters, the flavour and expression both precisely delivered with balanced acidity and toned backbone. Exciting drinkability and sophistication all in one glass.

Hewn of a base of '16: 55% chardonnay, 30% pinot noir, in addition to older reserves (15%), this is a gorgeous salmon hue flecked with amber. Gentle scents of crushed strawberry, loganberry and a thread of herb are woven by a needle of vibrant acidity and mineral crunch. Subtle, refined stuff. Just enough toast. Dosage nestled in. This attests to Deviation Road being among Australia's very top sparkling wine producers.

The simple things. Sweet strawberry and red cherry flavours come infused with cooked apple and spice notes. You wouldn't call it complex but the intensity of flavour is excellent and it carries on well through the finish.

It would be hard to find a more crowd-pleasing rosé fizz than this. A little sweet, to be churlish. Crushed raspberry, sour strawberry, musk stick, orange verbena and ume dragged long by chalky acidity and gently grippy seams. The time on lees, well portioned to promote the fruit rather than overwhelm it.
This is one of Australia's best Non Vintage rosé sparkling wines, really impressive. Pale salmon and packed with bright pink fruits, this has a handy mix of primary and more savory complex characters. Strawberries, spicy red cherries and gently earthy mushroom aromas lead to a palate that has attractive pastry-like flavors and, pink grapefruit and pink berry fruits, chalky, tingly and fresh. Great balance and plenty of flavor, dosage is perfectly judged, drink now.
This continues to refine in style each new bottling, and the harnessing of such fresh red cherries and strawberries is really something. Some florals and blood orange, too. The palate has vibrant, crunchy texture with the same mix of fruit seen on the nose, delivered with energetic appeal.

An elegant but serious rosé with Pinot Noir adding structure and Chardonnay the vibrancy. Wild strawberry sharpness leads in light cherry and melon, while solid acidity keeps all the flavours lingering long and bright. It’s weighty but still delightfully playful.
