This super-mineral Champagne is 100% Chardonnay from the family's chalkiest soils in Chavot and Épernay. These vineyards are biodynamically farmed, and the soil is rich in chalk and chalky clay (marl), with pockets of flint and schist. It’s the chalkiness that drives the wine’s striking, racy and intensely saline minerality—that energy, freshness and zingy, citric line—while the clay provides balancing fruit weight and texture.
Based on perfectly ripe fruit, the Brut Nature is a blend of three vintages and includes up to 40% reserve wines. As the name suggests, it’s bottled without dosage. Aged for just over two years in bottle following primary fermentation in barrique, foudre and tronconique cask, like all Laherte’s Champagne this was disgorged by hand. More than ever it’s stunning value for those who love purity and minerality in their Blanc de Blancs. The new disgorgement is a wonderfully sculpted Champagne sizzling with tension and penetrating focus.

Kasia Sobiesiak - The Wine Front
Base wine is 2019, disgorged in October 2022, zero dosage.
Apples, pears, citrus, fresh lift of lively energy, and white nectarines, just bursts of freshness, pastry is there but not too sweet, on the savoury side of things, limey acidity, then peanut brittle unveils on top with sweet lime underneath. And steely yellow grapefruit lemon juice finish. Lip-smacking. Simply put.

Falstaff
Pale golden yellow, silver reflections, fine, persistent mousse. Delicate notes of mango and fresh yellow apple, some blossom honey, a hint of candied orange zest, mineral touch. Taut, tightly woven, white apple fruit, fresh acidity, salty-lemony finish, a crisp food companion, versatile. (Deg. 1/23).

Falstaff
A Champagne rich in finesse with notes of lemon zest, white flowers, fruit and mineral nuances. Complex and extremely elegant. Clearly structured on the palate. Rather fresh type with subtle age. Intense on the tongue with a fine mousse, elegant structure and long finish. Perfectly balances buttery lobster meat.

Antonio Galloni MW - Vinous
“Laherte's NV Brut Nature Blanc de Blancs is one of the great under the radar wines in Champagne. It marries precision, tension and depth. Citrus peel, crushed rocks, mint, dried flowers and white pepper race across the palate. The Blanc de Blancs is a Champagne of tremendous stature and class that blends the best attributes of sites in Epernay and the Côtes des Blancs. Best of all, it's an insane value. The current release is 60% 2018 and40% reserve wines from 2017 and 2016. No dosage.” 93 points, Antonio Galloni, Vinous
