This is very good gris, delivering succulence, alpine lift and just the right modicum of complexity to differentiate itself from a sea of mediocrity. Exquisite aromas of wild fennel, pistachio husk, white pepper and apple tart. The pH, righteously high to ensure a plump mouth-feel over an astringent one. Just delicious. A simple wine in the greatest sense, in terms of drinkability and craftsmanship.

Sits on the grigio/gris border with modest, bright fruit ambitions à la grigio, but then that oh-so-smooth palate is very much in the gris ballpark. Quite the chameleon with enough nashi pear, ripe apple, citrus and spice to deliver a juicy wine with a gently creamy edge, offering good all-round drinking pleasure.
