It’s wonderfully opulent while retaining varietal purity, showing cassis, brown spice and tobacco characters with a lovely oak infusion. The palate delivers excellent concentration and refined texture, superbly structured by fine, grainy tannins. Harmonious and complex with a prolonged, satisfying finish.
Black currants, wild berries, crushed herbs, dried currant leaves, cedar and raw coffee beans on the nose. Medium- to full-bodied, with mellow dark fruit and minty, spicy notes. Tannins are creamy and supple with a velvety-textured finish.

Deep crimson in the glass with ripe blackberry, satsuma plum and blackcurrant fruits cut with hints of briar, baking spices, cedar, earth, violets and licorice. There’s a graceful plume of fruit on the palate, which is spicy and herb-flecked with fine, sandy tannin support and a medium-length finish with a touch of red cherry flowing in on the exit.

The 2022 Eurus Cabernet Sauvignon is silky and red fruited as compared to the Pumpa from the same vintage tasted alongside, yet that core of red fruit is wrapped in a cloak of black tannin. This is rocky and mineral and dark in all ways, with a lighter footstep on the palate. Really a lovely wine here. Dark, almost gritty tannins frame the finish. 14.5% alcohol, sealed under screw cap.
