Angus Hughson - Vinous

The 2022 Shiraz Valley Floor is very well composed. This is still a little in its shell but is showing signs of cellaring potential. It opens with broody blackberry, dark chocolate and graphite aromas. The considerable savory oak influence here is not out of place. Its excellent volume of mouth-filling flavor is kept fresh by acidity and al dente tannins. The 2022 is a classic Barossan Shiraz that will fill out nicely over the next ten years.

Gary Walsh - The Wine Front

A little new American oak with some new French. Apparently 11 and 5% respectively. I’d like to see a 100% tariff on all oak products. Ha ha. A bold wine, and what you might call ‘modern traditional’ in style. Black fruit, dark chocolate, mint, toasty vanilla and coconut oak. It’s full-bodied, lots of flavour, acidity a little lively perhaps, grainy open-weave tannin, black fruit and toasty oak with a dry finish of good length. A wine that knows its audience (not that I’m suggesting that it’s sentient).

2025 - Decanter World Wine Awards

Prunes and liquorice with some salted nuts and jammy sweet fruit aromas on the nose. Bright and juicy, with fine-grained tannins. Award: Silver - DWWA 2025
