Critic Reviews
Neal Martin - Vinous
The 2022 Saint-Véran comes from clay and chalk soils around Davayé, plus some parcels located in higher reaches. It was bottled early in May 2023. It has a delineated, focused bouquet. It's a bit terse at first, with touches of apple blossom and a background Muscat-like scent. The palate is well balanced with good density on the entry, slightly waxy in texture, citrus lemon commingling with walnut and earthy tones towards the finish. Fine.
