Has excellent colour grading to a vivid purple-crimson rim. The bouquet and palate sing lustily from the same page, with black fruits, spices, dark chocolate, licorice and sandalwood. It's built for the long haul. James Halliday Published 02 August 2023

Tasting Notes
2021 was a freakishly good vintage for our estate Syrah, the Orion is selected from the cream of ‘Landau’ block and further classified post-fermentation. Hand-picked, 21 days on skins, 25% whole bunch, raised in 500-litre Stockinger puncheons (25% new) for 10 months. Only 100 dozen made.
