White Burgundy eh. This vineyard is on the right side of the road, surrounded by 1er vineyards, with Genevrières Dessous sitting just above. Dress circle, if not premier.
Classic Meursault here, all the hazelnut, cool honey mint and white chocolate perfume, discreet biscuit oak spice, white nectarine, lime and grapefruit. It’s fleshy, but tight, fine chalky feel to texture, all the grilled nuts and white peach, with bright ripe grapefruit acid to balance, lots of zip and energy, with a very long, cool, and satisfying finish. A little bit saline too. Oh yes. Wonderful.
