Campbell Mattinson - The Wine Front
This is an imposing Pinot Noir. It’s powerfully fruited but it’s the dare of the tannin that really sets the tone. This is one firm, taut wine. Black cherry flavour, woodsmoke, cedar, undergrowth and a deal of dry, roasted, woodsy spice notes. A meatiness. An orange blossom note. A general impression that great things await. Blessed are the patient, for they will inherit this wine’s truest beauty.
