Bright, rich ruby red colour with nuances of purple. Fruit-driven nose, lots of raspberry, plum, savoury notes of cinnamon and vanilla in the background. The 2020 Corinto is darkly intense, with a wave of rich plum sauce, cocoa and balsam herbs that form its bouquet. This is silky in feel, smoothing over the palate with ripe black fruits and exotic spices. It tapers off lightly structured, leaving a molten chocolate resonance and sage nuances. The 2020 is 100% Corinto Nero (An ancient grape of Greek origin) that's refined for eighteen months in used Tonneaux. This was a happy surprise during my Sicily tastings.

The wine is simple and bright, but it also delivers a generous rush of sweet primary fruit. You won't be looking for complexity here, rather a fun wine to drink with a swordfish dish or a more elaborate grilled tuna.
