More medium bodied with lifted floral and dried herb notes on the nose. Lovely mix of red fruits with bay leaf and light black olive notes merging with just a faint ironstone edge. Balanced and poised.

A fine grained and vigorous palate with ample red berry fruits, some leafy notes and underlying mocha vanilla notes. Finishes firm with seductive sweet fruits. The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon leads with nori and pickling spice, forest floor and pipe resin, tobacco and blackberry. In the mouth, the wine is all damp leaves and five spice, nutmeg and cinnamon. The oak makes such a firm stamp on the wine, and while the tannins are soft, there are a lot of them. They pervade every aspect of the palate. A style. 14% alcohol, sealed under screw cap.

The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon shows some signs of age, with chocolate and blackberry aromas lifted by layers of granite and earth. Plush licorice flavors follow with a seam of fine tannins and solid length, although it certainly feels at peak.
