Dandelion Vineyards Sleeping Beauty GSM 2020
The Collective Review
We’re sure you’ve heard of Elena Brooks before. She’s the genius behind Dandelion & Heirloom Vineyards, and James Halliday calls her “a gifted winemaker”.
Here, Elena continues to display her incredible talent in a beautiful blend of three - Grenache, Shiraz and Mataro. Its name, ‘Sleeping Beauty’, suggests you might want to pop it down in the cellar to rest. However, it’s so good we challenge you to resist!
Luscious Grenache fruit dominates, offering spades of plums, raspberry lollies and fresh cut purple flowers. Shiraz offers some earthy complexity and spice, while the Mataro gives green herbs, pepper, and wood shavings. The power of three come together seamlessly to create a wine that’s luscious without being overwhelming, and finishes super fresh.
This is an excellent opportunity to stock up on a red that is sure to be a crowd pleaser at your next gathering.
