Succulent and fresh style, very clean, bright fruited, a little creamy and with a whole lot of raspberry liquorice and vanilla going on. All that’s dashed with some pepper and rolled in dried, green herbs. It’s a delight. A little tug of tannin comes mid palate and finishes the wine with a little pucker on the tongue. Very charming, very easy to drink, excellent texture. Very much worth a look.

A little late to this, but turned up today in the pile. Good humans amongst Marion’s Vineyard. Tyson Stelzer - Halliday Wine Companion

From 16yo vines on the warmest block on a warm site. Wild fermented; matured in large-format French oak barrels for 18 months. Shiraz is a highlight of Marion's vineyard, with more scheduled to be planted in the coming years. With a vibrant purple hue, this is a pepper-laden, medium-bodied style of satsuma plum skin and blackberry fruit. Fine-boned tannins contain some promise for the medium term.

Mulberry-purple colour, sweet aromas of cherry and vanilla. Chewy tannin, moderate body and obvious depth of flavour, wild brambles, cassis and clove. Light on its feet, the texture is soft, warm and welcoming. Cool-climate shiraz showing its true colours.
