The Ravera cru extends into the villages of Novello and Barolo. The 2013 Barolo Ravera by Arnaldo Rivera shows the density and the muscle power that is distinguished by this vineyard site. This is a loosely knit expression of Nebbiolo with bold layers of dried blueberry and black currant. There is a mineral note as well that recalls brimstone or pencil shavings. A very subtle note of fruity sweetness adds softness to the finish for an accessible approach.

Embracing and almost opulent cherry nose with hints of iron. Gorgeous, supple red fruit and plenty of chewy tannins. Long, precise and delicious. Already approachable but has the capacity to age.
