Nova Vita Wines

Mark and Jo Kozned’s 30ha Woodlands Ridge Vineyard is planted to chardonnay, sauvignon blanc, pinot gris and shiraz. They subsequently established the Tunnel Hill Vineyard, with 19ha planted to pinot noir, shiraz, cabernet sauvignon, sauvignon blanc, semillon, verdelho, merlot and sangiovese. The name Nova Vita reflects the beginning of the Kozned’s new life, the firebird on the label coming from their Russian ancestry – it is a Russian myth that only a happy or lucky person may see the bird or hear its song. They are building a new winery and cellar door at the Woodlands Ridge Vineyard. In the meantime, the majority of the wines are made at Revenir. -JH
