Noisy Ritual is not your average winery. It all began a few years ago when co-founders Alex and Cam stumbled upon a massive old concrete wine fermenter under Cam’s house. With a spark of curiosity and a love for hands-on experiences, they organized half a tonne of grapes and called in some friends to help stomp them. The result? Messy, low-tech, and heaps of fun – but most importantly, delicious wine. And that's how Noisy Ritual was born.
But Noisy Ritual is more than just a winery. Our aim is to demystify the winemaking process by bringing together good people over great wine, food, and music in the heart of Brunswick, Melbourne's trendy hub. With a focus on inclusivity and engagement, we want everyone to be a part of the winemaking experience and taste the fruits of their labor.
Our co-founder Alex has over 20 years of experience in the wine industry, working in wineries and vineyards all over Australia and France. He is also the brains behind his own wine label, Byrne, and collaborates with his friend Kim to make Liquid Rock n Roll wines. Inspired by all things handmade, Alex believes in creating wine that is approachable, fresh, and fruit-driven, with enough complexity to keep it interesting and age gracefully.
Cam, on the other hand, brings a unique set of skills to the table. With a background in music and events coordination, he knows how to put on a good party and keep the noisy bits in check. Together, Alex and Cam run Noisy Ritual, with a shared passion for making premium wines that are handcrafted and made to be enjoyed right away.
We source our grapes from premium vineyards all over Victoria, with a focus on sustainability and low-impact practices. Our central location in Brunswick allows us to showcase the diversity of Victoria's wine regions and work with different producers to obtain the best possible fruit for our wines.
