Hailing from the sunny land down under, Logan is not your average winemaker. With a rebellious spirit and a thirst for innovation, he has carved out a unique path in the Australian wine industry.
From the very beginning, Logan was determined to break away from the norm and create wines that excited him, rather than catering to a specific demographic. This bold approach was met with resistance from many, including his own family, but Logan was undeterred.
Choosing to base himself in the then unfamiliar NSW Central Ranges, Logan planted tempranillo and made pinot gris when few others were doing so. He even dabbled in creating whimsical labels and stories, and fermenting white grapes on their skins. These daring techniques, along with his use of large barrel oak and wild yeasts, set Logan apart from the establishment and established him as a true trailblazer in the industry.
But Logan didn't stop there. In a move that raised eyebrows, he began selling his wine in kegs, pushing the boundaries even further. And it's this fearless attitude that has kept Logan excited and passionate about his craft for an impressive 28 years.
Today, his multi-award winning Tasting Room in Mudgee stands as a testament to his unconventional approach. With its timeless yet contemporary design, it challenges the traditional concept of a cellar door and reflects Logan's love for doing things a little bit differently.
So when it comes to the same old thing, Logan is not one to settle. Instead, he continues to push the boundaries and create unique, exciting wines that are truly one-of-a-kind.
