Vineyard
Hand-picked from 80 year old Grenache bush vines at Leasingham in the Clare Valley. The 2023 vintage was lovely cool and mild resulting in a late, long and even ripening period, ideal for producing wines of concentrated flavours while maintaining the delicacy and elegance typical of fine rose wines.

Winemaking
Grapes were hand picked and briefly held on skins before gentle pressing into barrel. The pale pink juice was fermented wild in 5% new French oak and balance neutral French Oak, where it was matured and lees stirred for 3 months to add layers of texture and depth to the vibrant “nearly ripe” strawberry fruit. The result is a somewhat complex wine that is aromatic, textural and interesting.
