NV Grahams 10 YO Tawny Port Gift Box
The Collective Review
The legendary Tawny from Graham's, as much a British institution as it is Portugese. It's layered with complex aromas of nuts and figs, and has decadence as its by-word. How can a meal be complete without a glass Graham's to finish it off? Legendary British wine scribe Jancis Robinson said it best "After a decade of care, this wine is a wonderful expression of the arts of blending, cooperage and ageing." Chapo!

Powered with acidity and its firm structure, this is an intensely dry, concentrated, powerful wine. It certainly has wines in the blend that are older than 10 years, yet it is definitely a 10-year-old in style, as the fresh fruit to finish confirms. Editor's Choice.

The nose and are palate nicely aligned here, with notes of roasted nuts, caramel and cinnamon accompanying red-berried fruit, leading to a full, spicy finish.

Transparent pale rust red – much yellower colour than the Taylor's 10 Year Old tawny. Light, briary nose. Hint of almonds and real vitality. A caress to the palate. Lovely stuff! Spirit just starting to insist. I'd drink this sooner rather than later but a beautiful satin texture. I'm rather sad that the Syms, sensibly, sent only a 20 cl bottle of this! Great balance. Subtle and long. 17/20
