“This is dangerously delicious Blewitt Springs shiraz, hewn of old-vine fruit from the recently purchased Bracken vineyard. Dense, jubey and yet, far from insouciant or soupy, with a finely wrought tannic pliancy corralling the seams while directing the boysenberry, licorice strap, dried rose- to lavender-accents long. A subtle skein of pepper traipsing across the finish. It is difficult to think of any better shiraz – at least of a sophisticated floral, fresh and beautifully structured idiom – at this price.”
