Bernabeleva’s number one guy, Marc Isart, also runs a tiny solo project – again in the Madrid high country – that is evocatively called La Maldición (The Curse). From an ancient, isolated vineyard in Arganda del Ray he crafts a thirst quenching, brilliantly priced red from a field blend of Tempranillo and the white grape Malvar. Brilliant value here.
