During the tumultuous years of the Second World War, Pietro, the oldest son, bravely maintained the estate and its reputation for quality wines. With his eloquence and dedication to family values, he solidified the Cielo name in the wine industry.
As the years passed, Giovanni, Renzo, and Piergiorgio – the third generation of Cielo – took the reins and expanded the small estate into a national company. They recognized the importance of the growing retail market and successfully ventured into it, cementing their place as leaders in the industry.
Today, the fourth generation of Cielo – Luca and Pierpaolo – are carrying on the family legacy and taking it to new heights. In order to develop the company at an international level, they opened the capital to members of the Cantine dei Colli Berici, a collective of over 1,000 winegrowers between Vicenza and Verona. This partnership allows for greater production capacity and better control of the wine, while also honouring the ancient tradition of Cielo.
