In 2011, Olivier approached renowned winemaker Dominique LAFON with a proposal to jointly acquire the property. It was clear to Dominique from the moment he set foot on the land that this was a site of exceptional quality. And so, the two decided to combine their expertise and knowledge to craft a wine that could rival any in the prestigious Pouilly-Fuissé appellation.
In a testament to their commitment, Olivier and Dominique each hold an equal share in the new company, Château des Quarts. Located in Chaintré, the southernmost village of the appellation, the Clos des Quarts boasts some of the oldest vines in the area, dating back to 1917. Today, the estate spans over 2 hectares and 65 ares, with a prime position overlooking the Saône valley.
Enclosed within a high stone wall, the Clos des Quarts is considered a Monopole, a rare title reserved for vineyards of the highest calibre.
