Chardonnay is the friend you can always count on. Full of life and full of flavour, it's the big character of the wine world. And this dozen is chock full of approachable Chardonnay from all corners of the land.

2018 Tahbilk One Million Cuttings Chardonnay:
The appeal here is simple - James Hallidays's 2016 Winery of the Year Tahbilk have access to Chardonnay grapes from all over Victoria, picking the grapes when they're just ripe and maturing it all in older oak to preserve the clean and crisp apple peach fruit.

2018 San Marzano Il Pumo Chardonnay
Puglia isn't usually your first stop for juicy Chardonnay, but San Marzano have shown that nearly anything grows in this part of southern Italy. This white is convincingly easy drinking too - a whole bowl full of stonefruit fruit generosity with a generous and playfully round palate. Come here for that peachy flavour.

2019 Evans & Tate Margaret River Chardonnay
Metricup Road is where you'll find Evans & Tate's original vineyard in Margaret River, the vines sitting alongside those from neighbours like Moss Wood, Fermoy & Sandalford. This Chardonnay is prime Margs fare too - melon, nougat, excellent acidity. The lot.

2019 Morgan's Reserve Chardonnay
Out of the Adelaide Hills, this elegant Chardonnay is the latest in the line from the Morgan's Vineyard label, which has provided so many delicious (and reliable) wines in recent years. It's a fresh and vibrant white that trades on gentle peachy fruit instead of oak, the style approachable, crisp, easy. A moreish modern Chardonnay that anyone can appreciate.

Willow Bridge Dragonfly Chardonnay 2019
Bright fresh stone fruits with a nice minerality alongside lime and pithy tang.

2019 Grant Burge GB32 Chardonnay
Using Chardonnay grapes from premium South Australian regions, the wine made with minimal oak to maximise freshness.
