Wines included in this case:

2017 Wirra Wirra Catapult McLaren Vale Shiraz: This Catapult Shiraz is one of Wirra's best value wines. It combines that mid palate lusciousness and rich weight with the florals of a dollop of Viognier. The result is both fragrant and yet choc full of punch. A big wine, but one that dances around like a winey ballerina. 92 Points - The Wine Collective. 93 Points - Toni Paterson MW - The Real Review. 92 Points - Nick Stock - jamessuckling.com. 90 Points - James Halliday - Halliday's Wine Companion

2016 Bleasdale The Wild Plum Cabernet Merlot: Bleasdale are famous for making hearty reds, with a whole catalogue of honest, over-delivering wines that you are undeniably flavour packed. This Cab Merlot is every bit the chunky overachiever too, a wine that would have a firm handshake if it took on human form. Big dark fruit, firm tannins, a long finish. It's bold red wine in every way. 91 Points - The Wine Collective.

2015 Di Giorgio Barrel Reserve Coonawarra Cabernet: Picked from the finest barrels (hence the barrel select), it's a deep, concentrated and masculine Coonawarra Cabernet from the Di Giorgio family that is built for long term ageing. All it needs is a mint lamb rack. 91 Points - The Wine Collective.

2019 St Hallett Rosé: St Hallett isn't normally known for rosé, but this wine absolutely nails the brief! It's tricky nailing the balance between fresh fruit and delicacy, but this finely textured wine really straddles the fence with ripe fruit and yet with crisp acidity. You'd have to go to Provence to see quality pink wine like this. 94 Points - The Wine Collective.

2017 Jeanneret Sevenhill Riesling: The vines grow on slate just beneath very shallow soils and this wine shows all of those characteristics. From the delicate floral and citrus aromas to the slatey, minerally flavours. It’s fresh and lively and has a lovely richness and roundness to finish. It’s pretty and fine – as Riesling should be and it’s drinking very well right now.  94 Points - The Wine Collective. 95 Points - James Halliday - Halliday's Wine Companion. 95 Points - Sam Kim - Wine Orbit

2016 Geoff Merrill Botham Merrill Willis Chardonnay: Plump and full life, yet still crisp to finish, the BMW Chard (that's what we call it) has that lovely toasty richness you want to see in a full-bodied Chardonnay, and retains freshness too. Flavour and freshness - it's what we all want to see. 94 Points - The Wine Collective. 95 Points - Sam Kim - Wine Orbit

Senior Wine Advisor

It’s a dirty job but someone has to try all these wines for you and over the past 16 years as a Personal Wine Advisor I’ve tried a few! I like to try a wine twice as wine can often taste different in different situations. So if you still haven't found what you're looking for, here are a few that I have tasted recently that might suit.
