NV Masottina Prosecco DOC Brut
The Collective Review
One of the best value buys of the year. An incredibly bright and vibrant Prosecco from Treviso DOC, it was scored 96 Points at the Decanter World Wine Awards 2017. A 96 Point wine at this price? Madness! We were so impressed with it when we tried it, we filled a container over in Italy, and it's just arrived on our shores. This is a fantastic quality Prosecco that will be perfect for the festive season, and all through Summer. A lovely light aperitif style, it will also be at home in an Aperol Spritz. Salute!

Beautifully fine and elegantly expressed, the bouquet shows white flesh nectarine, lemon pith, apple and delicate floral aromas, leading to a brilliantly focused palate offering fabulous fruit purity and creamy texture. Crisp-dry and gorgeously rounded with a lengthy vibrant finish.
Very light colour, with a straw and hay aroma and low effervescence. It’s slightly grapy and fresh and fruity, but simple. The palate is soft and round, and gentle, pillowy, perhaps lacking a little in acid line. There's a fair tickle of sweetness and some phenolic bitterness on the finish, but otherwise the flavour is quite restrained and delicate.
Lemon and grapefruit with green mandarins and limes and apples on the palate.

Presenting with elegant, fresh and lifted. aromas reminiscent of citrus fruit: lemons, grapefruit, green mandarins and limes. Hints of apples that are clear at first but with surprising varietal notes that give the freshness of green apples and the soft sweetness of quinces. It ends with light hints of mint and fresh unripe almonds. The palate is fresh and lively in its elegance. Softly enveloping, it reveals hints of citrus fruit with a freshness that is almost fragrant. Its harmony is long and lingering embracing with sun-ripened fruit, luscious and light. There is a harmony between silky softness and lively fruity freshness.
Primary fermentation takes place at controlled temperature on selected yeasts, followed by a month in bottle for settling.
