NV Lallier Loridon Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs Extra Brut
The Champagne of the night, for me. Made using grapes from a single 1.4-hectare vineyard called Loriden, this fizz crackled with almond, vanilla and toasted brown bread aromas, which led into a rounded yet still fresh mouthfeel. How’s it taste?
This beautiful single vineyard Champagne is a supremely stylish and sophisticated sparkling wine that is hard not to love. Finely textured, supremely complex and so intense that you won't believe it. Make no mistake, this is true grand vin.
Who made it?
The Lallier brand was founded in 1906 by Rene Lallierin the Ay region of Champagne. In 1996, Rene-James Lallier (Rene's grandson) took the brand in a new direction, by modernising the production facilities and refurbishing the cellars. In his quest for outstanding quality, he enlisted the help of Francis Tribaut. Francis took over the helm of the company in 2004. In the years that followed, Rene's legacy and Francis' continuing passion have established the reputation for excellence with which Lallier Champagnes are regarded, year in, year out.
