NV Henri Abelé Rosé
How's it taste?
Appearance: Attractive deep colour. Fine, persistent bubbles. Nose: A symphony of fruity aromas, especially strawberry and raspberry. Palate: The aromas carry over onto the palate, which is smooth with all the fruitiness and finesse one would hope for in pink Champagne. Roasted notes on the aftertaste, with just the right amount of dosage. Perfect for the aperitif or with a first course.
How was it made?
40% Pinot Noir 30% Chardonnay 30% Pinot Meunier. Made from one of the best crus in Champagne, Brut Rosé ages for three years on its lees, away from light and variations in temperature.
Who made it?
Maison Henri Abelé is inspired by its eponymous founder, a man with the utmost respect for tradition and a great attachment to Reims, but also a modern entrepreneur who helped shape the future of Champagne. Henri Abelé’s lifestyle is about blending tradition with innovation, know-how with creation, history with the future. Since 1757, the company’s approach has always been that of craftsmen, priding themselves on a job well done according to the highest standards. Maison Abelé has two kilometres of underground cellars dug out of solid chalk in the heart of Reims. Devotion to excellence is natural in these ancient vaulted cellars. Today, the house offers a broad range of products to appeal to wine lovers of all persuasions: from the classic brut to “prestige cuvées”, not forgetting their superb vintage champagnes. The distinctive style of Abelé champagnes is based on a harmonious balance of freshness and substance, elegance and complexity.
