Expert Reviews

Intensely floral aromas of white and yellow spring flower lead the way on this light and fragrant sparkler. The rather lean racy palate isn't quite as expressive as the nose but still offers green pear and tart apple alongside firm acidity. 91 points - Wine Enthusiast

It is immediately appealing on the nose showing ripe apple, rockmelon, mango and floral characters. The palate is equally attractive with excellent fruit vibrancy and succulent mouthfeel, leading to a lengthy silky finish. 93 points - Sam Kim

How's it taste?

An extremely delicate and elegant Prosecco thanks to the great attention paid during the maceration, pressing and slow fermentation stages.

How was it made?

Belstar is a lovely name for a vineyard on the threshold of the historical production area of Prosecco. It was right here in these immaculate hills with unparalleled landscapes that the sovereign grape variety of Northern Veneto found its niche, a place to express its natural elegance. Belstar is a Prosecco with a fruity scent and a floral bouquet enhanced during vinification by the protection of the must from the action of oxygen and by a light pressing. An extremely delicate and elegant Prosecco thanks to the great attention paid during the maceration, pressing and slow fermentation stages.

Who made it?

The rich history of Bisol dates back to 1542, when the Bisol family first began cultivating grapes. Today, Gianluca Bisol has assumed the role of president and CEO while his brother, Desiderio, holds the position of chief oenologist and technical director. With 500 years of winemaking tradition, Bisol produces a range of organically farmed and internationally recognized Valdobbiadene Superiore DOCG crus. The Bisol family cultivates more than 20 vineyards located in the best-suited areas for wine production, including the renowned Cartizze hill. A superior focus on promoting vine health through environmentally sustainable techniques is at the forefront of Bisol’s viticulture methodology. In the cellar, vinification is completed so as to maintain the different expressions of the unique sites and soils.
