How was it made?
2 x Neverland South Australian Cabernet Sauvignon 2018
The aroma has lifted fresh berry fruits including dark cherry and plum with a hint of oak. Medium to full body with complex flavours of juicy ripe cherries and plums with a hint of spice leading to a soft velvety finish.
2 x Di Giorgio Regional Selection Cabernet Sauvignon 2016
Bright aromas of blueberry and cassis on the nose. The palate is richly layered with ripe black fruit interwoven with spice. Fine tannins and oak characters from 20 months spent in French and American oak adds structure, depth and length on the finish. A wine that will really reward a year or so in the cellar, this has great structure with some classic Coonawarra tannins.
2 x Roche Mazet Pays d'Oc Cabernet Sauvignon 2017
It is aged in wood and has a silky, well-balanced structure. Aromas of blackcurrant, cherry and truffle on the nose mingle with hints of vanilla. Elegance is the keynote on the palate, with hints of red fruit and the characteristic Roche Mazet woodiness on the finish.
2 x Water Dancer Cabernet Merlot 2018
Made by five-star-rated WA producer Willow Bridge, who Halliday said is making 'exceptional value for money' wines, this is a prime Cabernet Merlot in the zone - fragrant, yet fleshy, with a proper medium bodied style.
2 x Norfolk Rise Cabernet Sauvignon 2015
Aromatic blackberry and cassis with hints bramble spice and dark chocolate. On the palate, ripe berry fruit combines with integrated creamy oak and solft vanilla tannins that lead to a lovely long finish.
2 x De Bortoli La Bossa Cabernet Sauvignon 2016
Bright red fruits on the nose, with lifted spice and a touch of oak. The palate is awash with juicy currant notes, with nice intensity and generosity. Great wine at this price.
