Balcombe Coastal Gin 500ml
The Collective Review
Garagiste Vintners, in partnership with The Craft & Co., has created a distinctive gin that pays homage to the Mornington Peninsula.
Their unique blend features an impressive range of botanicals, including samphire, saltbush, wild fennel, Java long pepper, and blood orange. The resulting gin has a mild cloudiness and thick legs, with a complex aroma that first evokes earthiness before transitioning to intense herbal notes.
Aeration adds a refreshing splash of sea air, fresh-cut cedar, lemon peel, light juniper, and spice. This silky and exceptionally smooth gin offers a mid-palate that highlights kelp, citrus, coriander, and potpourri flavours. The finish is delicately salty, with a fresh citrus-peel sensation that lingers impressively long.
This coastal-inspired gin is not only beautifully textured but also evocative of the region's unique flora and fauna, making it a must-try for gin lovers seeking something out of the ordinary.

Tasting Notes
Balcombe is a versatile gin that can be enjoyed in several ways. Savour it neat, mix it with tonic, or use it as a key ingredient in your favourite cocktail. For the best results, we suggest using a drier tonic to complement Balcombe's slight saltiness, which enhances the sweetness of an Indian tonic. A Dirty Martini made with Balcombe is simply stunning, and it pairs perfectly with a Dirty G & T, which includes a good Indian tonic and an olive with its brine. Additionally, Balcombe's gentle Juniper punch and spiced citrus background make it an excellent choice for a Negroni of exceptional quality. Whether you prefer your gin straight or mixed, Balcombe is an excellent option for any occasion.
