2023 Mystery McLaren Vale Chardonnay Deal No. 45

This Mystery brand has long been a favourite of ours here at The Wine Collective.

The winemaker has amassed over 300 acres of vineyards since the 1960s, and over that time, he's also built a reputation for crafting Vale classics - and we think he’s done it again in this stunner.

If you’re one of those who have been lamenting the lack of rich, oak-influenced Chardy then this wine is the goods. Think bold stone-fruit, in a rich full bodied style. Your butter is there with creamy citrus and baking spice, vanilla and honeycomb. Textural, generous but with a good line of acidity, it’s a much warmer and cuddlier wine than its name would suggest.
