The nose is clean and crisp with delectably gentle citrus aromas. The palate has a zesty and exceptionally crunchy acidity that skitters beneath fresh lime and green apple notes, leading into a lifted and lengthy finish.

The Mytikas Sauvignon Blanc is grown on a single vineyard on the edge of a town called Virginia in the Adelaide Plains GI which is part of the greater region of Adelaide Zone.

The vineyard is owned by grapegrower George Girgolas who has been working with winemaker Simon Adams of Sorby Adams for 35 years. The peak of Mount Olympus where George’s family originated, is called Mytikas. It also means “nose” which is quite fitting for these fragrant styles which are full of vibrancy and flavour.

Working together is they key to achieving the best fruit expression from the vineyard. Having a Greek grower of Italian, French and Spanish varieties from Adelaide GI may break with tradition, but Sorby Adams love the challenge and style it delivers and wanted to celebrate that.
