2022 Black Cottage Pinot Gris

AROMA: A refreshingly dry pinot gris, filled with expressive aromas of Lily of the valley, biscotti, pear, and almond. PALATE: The palate is well-balanced with mouthwatering acidity. Flavours of pine nut and pretty florals of Mexican orange blossom come through with Honeydew melon and cucumber on the finish.

Crops were down due to early spring frosts and a cold, wet flowering period. Summer was incredibly dry and this lead to an early harvest. The fruit quality was outstanding and wines from the 2021 vintage might just be exceptional. The wine went through a long, cool fermentation in stainless steel tank.
