2022 Atlas Section 32 Pinot Gris

The Collective Review

A Clare Valley treasure, this Pinot Gris pours a delicate pale gold, it has a bright bouquet of summer fruits, such as pear and peach, alongside delicate floral and herbal aromas.

Vineyards, fruit, provenance - that's what Amy Lane and Adam Barton have created with Atlas wines and it is characterised by this fresh citrus and stonefruit white. It's perfectly complementary to a summer's day with it's creamy texture and soft, lingering finish. A well-balanced and versatile white, this Pinot Gris is sure to become your next favourite.

Amy and Adam's vision for Atlas was pretty simple: to produce great wine from the highest-quality fruit available, not just from the Atlas Estate vineyard but from vineyards with exceptional provenance in the surrounding regions. In searching out these vineyards, Adam has come to know intimately the complexity and diversity of the Clare Valley, and how the unique characteristics of different sites – geology, soil, groundwater, climate and weather, aspect, slope and more – produce fruit with unique qualities. It’s these qualities that he has sought to express through the wines he has made.
