Winemakers Note

Château Larrivaux, a unique limestone terroir in the Médoc Larrivaux is a unic wine estate in the Médoc area, as its soils are mostly composed of limestone, lying on a thin lay of sand. Its 15-hectare large vineyard is located in the Haut-Médoc appellation. The wines produced there are very specific, smooth, delicate, very juicy. The property has been belonging to the same family since 1580, and has always been managed by women : today, Bérangère Tesseron is at the helm of the estate. Already involved in the estate's life, Basile, her husband, has officially join the teams in 2021 after Château Lafon Rochet was sold. The 2021 vintage The wine features a deep purple colour with subtle violet hues. The nose opens with notes of red fruits including ripe strawberry and cherry, followed by hints of toasted wood that enhance the complex aromatic profile. The palate is full and presents a spectacular richness; balance and freshness are the key characteristics that set this bottle apart. The wine is already accessible and enjoyable to drink in its youth, while also indicating a future full of pleasure and indulgence.
