Plenty of grunt in this powerful statement of the Barossa, sourced from the 1961 planted Shiraz vineyard and the 1985 Cabernet vineyard. Dense and concentrated yet super sleek and smooth. This comes from an individual barrel selection and was matured for 18 months in 60% new French oak. Lots of dark plum, licorice and dark chocolate coating the palate. It has a thick generous mouthfeel with the fine chalky tannins and ample oak toting it through to a long finish.

A brooding nose of raspberry licorice, blackcurrant jam and roses makes way for a dense and structured palate. The tannins are grippy, offering flavours of charred meats and coffee. It seems to be in a few parts at the moment but this full-bodied red offers great potential. There's freshness, structure, intensity and complexity - all that's needed for a bright future

The Weapon of Mass Seduction (WOMS), here a blend of 63/37% shiraz/cabernet sauvignon, is a wine produced in only the finest vintages. 2021 was a beauty. Deep in colour and packed with pure ripe satsuma plum, blackberry and black cherry fruits cut with baking spice, turned earth, cedar, polished leather, licorice and dark chocolate. Powerful and impressive in stature, it's not for the faint of heart.
