It takes a master to discover the true beating heart of the Barossa. This Idle Hill Shiraz brings together the greatest vineyards of the region and the legacy of the famous Burge family, and combines it with the industry know-how and legacy of The Wine Collective team.
A typical big, bold and bright shiraz showing chocolate, coffee, spice and ripe berry aromas. There’s a palate of juicy raspberry and mocha that’s rounded off by subtle use of oak, presenting a smooth finish of silky, soft tannins. Meat lover? Oh yeah. Pair it with a big prime cut of porterhouse steak, or slow-cooked lamb shanks!

The wine is dark and inky in the glass, the palate is lush with dark cherries, mulberries and blackberries with coconut, anise, dill, sandalwood tobacco and gravel, the wine is full bodied, alcohol being well integrated and balance, a lot of wine here. Dark berries, touch of smoke, jump out of the glass, the palate is super intense, lots of flavour, nice hit of oak. Really well put together. This good be the bargain of the year.
Round, leathery, fruity, lovely. So charming, so intense. What a wine.

Tasting Notes
Oak is immediately present on the nose. Rounded vanillan oak characters continue on the palate, harmonising with pleasant charry tannins, savoury leather notes and red fruit characters.

How long will my order take?We use Australia Post for shipping. Depending on your location, your order may take between 2-10 business days to arrive.
Items that are 'In stock' will be dispatched from our Sydney warehouse the same or next business day. By default, orders containing 'Pre-Order' or 'Wine Collective Marketplace' products will be dispatched once all items have been received in our Sydney warehouse. Please allow an extra 5-7 business days on top of our standard delivery times for marketplace items.
