Tasting Notes

APPEARANCE: Intense, black and deep, with purple reflections. AROMA: Net and clean scent of ripe fruits (plum, blackberry, cherry). Elegant and profound. PALATE: Round and warm, with great softness and good grape tannins. Dense and embracing, it has average persistence at first taste; lingering aftertaste with hint of almond.

Winemakers Note

Fruit was sourced from Bruno Rocca’s estate vineyards that have an average age of 40 years old, located in the village of Barbaresco where the Trifole’ vineyard borders Rabajà. Maturation taking place in stainless steel. Midnight black dark red core with a bright purple red hue. Emanating from the glass are fragrant aromatics of dark plum, raspberry and liquorice which meld into inky earth, rose petal and spice notes. Juicy dark cherry, freshly crushed blackberry and liquorice flavours intermingle with inky earth and spice characters. Chewy tannins and lively acidity combine to lend some light grip to the fresh, savoury aftertaste.
