There can’t be too many things better than spending your days making wine with your best mate from High School. Well, that’s just what Time Freeland and Dominic Torzi (of Eden Valley’s Torzi Matthews) do.
It’s a multi-regional affair, sourcing fruit from predominantly old vines around South Australia. This is the first time the duo have had a crack at Riesling under the Old Plains label and judging by the quality of this one, it definitely won’t be the last.
This is fruit from a single site in the Adelaide hills from vines that are 15 years old. It’s pretty hands, gaining complexity and texture from whole bunch pressing and lees ageing.
