It’s a multi-regional affair, sourcing fruit from predominantly old vines around South Australia. This is the first time the duo have had a crack at Riesling under the Old Plains label and judging by the quality of this one, it definitely won’t be the last.
This is fruit from a single site in the Adelaide hills from vines that are 15 years old. It’s pretty hands, gaining complexity and texture from whole bunch pressing and lees ageing.
