The Adelaide Hills is home to some of Australia's most famous Chardonnay, with a history of fine, cool climate wines that dates back to the early days of Chardonnay in Australia.

For this wine it was only natural that we went straight to the Hills to find the best Chardonnay in the land, returning with this classy modern white wine from the Morgan's winery.

Made in a contemporary style, this has ripe peach fruit, complementary vanilla bean oak in the mix and then crisp acidity to finish. The result is real class, with an excellent balance between fruit, winemaking influences and then freshness on the tail.

Flavour and richness, but with a modern vitality.

How's it taste?

Top quality Adelaide Hills Chardonnay. Intense aromas of stone fruit and melon leads to a rich palate of peach and tropical fruits. Lashings of oak and vanilla come through.

Who made it?

Originally the Morgan's label was based around a single vineyard high in the Adelaide Hills near Lenswood, but is now a regional blend, picking out the best of the Hills. Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc is the focus, but with the occasional spicy Shiraz for good measure.
