Tahbilk probably isn't the first choice when it comes to Sauvignon Blanc, but as usual they nail every variety - and no beat skipped wit this Victorian Sauv.

Fresh and feeling frisky (or at least smelling frisky), this Tahbilk Sauvignon Blanc has a nose that just screams 'I'm Sauvignon Blanc'. Think passionfruit, then tropical fruit and then a crisp finish.

Move over Marlborough this Victorian white is coming for your fresh and vibrant personality!

How's it taste?

Fresh and feeling frisky (or at least smelling frisky), this Tahbilk Sauvignon Blanc has a nose that just screams 'I'm Sauvignon Blanc'. Think passionfruit, then tropical fruit and then a crisp finish.

Who made it?

The name Tahbilk comes from the language of the Daung-wurrung clans, the first people in the area. They called it tabilk-tabilk which means place of many waterholes. Tahbilk Wines was established in 1860 in the Nagambie lakes sub region of Victoria’s Goulburn Valley. It is home to a unique meso-climate, influenced by inland lakes and lagoons fed from the Goulburn River. Purchased by the Purbrick family in 1925, Tahbilk is home to 5 generations. Tahbilk is home to 200 hectares of vine, including the traditional Rhone Valley varietals Marsanne, Viognier, Roussanne, Shiraz, Grenache and Mourvedre. Classic varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Chardonnay, Riesling, Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc and Verdelho are also present. Tahbilk's flagship 1860 Vines Shiraz is produced from the estate’s original 1/2 ha of ungrafted, pre-phylloxera Shiraz vines that are amongst the oldest in the world.
