The Collective Review

Simon Adams honed his red blending skills when he was chief winemaker at Yalumba, and his deft touch can be felt in this compelling Cabernet Shiraz from the Barossa. Several critics praised this wine, especially Ray Jordan and Wine Orbit, who both awarded it 96 points. This is bold and built to last, showing multi-layered fruit complemented by vanillin oak. Cellar comfortably for a decade or more.

Ray Jordan - Winepilot.com

Adams gets a little serious here with a wine that is made to his distinctive style requiring ripe fruit laced with oak, which in this case is 30 months of which 30% was new. But it never seems excessively oaky, thanks to the power and concentration of the fruit. Deep, dark and concentrated with lush flavours coating the palate and then heading off into the distance for a long finish. Score: 95/100. Cellar: 15 years
