The Brief
How's it taste?
A blend of a majority of Sangiovese with 5% of Canaiolo and Colorino - the grapes are hand harvested, then transferred in stainless steel for a twenty days maceration and natural ferment. The wine is then aged in big oak casks of 25 HL and a small part is aged in small barrels for 10 months before being bottled. RUFINA Is our example of simple but very serious Sangiovese for more enjoyable, everyday drinking, fresh, fruity, wild cherry, good acidity to match food. Rufina is aged in large French oak casks. 2019 Chianti Rufina - 93 Points- James Sucking "Black cherry, crushed stone and citrus fruit on the nose. Aromatic and pleasing. Medium-bodied with vivid fruit and a fresh finish. Very typical Chianti Rufina with subtle, clean fruit and bright acidity. Drink now."
