For years now we've loved the work of San Marzano, with this Puglian-based superstar showing a knack for turning out full-bodied reds with guts and glory. So when they turned their attention in a Siclian direction, we knew it would turn out well - and this San Marzano Timineri Nero d'Avola is a real hero. Loads of black fruit and rich tannins, this has a richness and depth we'd more usually see in a good Barossa Shiraz (without the plums). Sourced from the Gibellina Hills in western Sicily - aka home of the world's best Nero d'Avola - this ripping red has an extra layer of concentration and depth compared to your average Nero, with punch AND spice.
