A light and easy rendition with enough stone fruit and citrus to please. The palate is soft and a layer of creamy lees adds some depth. A chardonnay to drink now and enjoy without another thought.

The label tells us the wine was made with minimal intervention and natural fermentation at Yabby Lake. Delicious chardonnay on a simple trajectory, but delivers verity of fruit in peachy juiciness, apricot richness, some green melon bitterness and all that seasoned with some smooth, sweet-nutty lushness. Rolls around the palate nicely, feels fresh but delivers a bit of opulence too. Four square in the best sense, you could pull this out of the dictionary and be pleased.

Very light straw/grey colour, with a simple, youthfully undeveloped bouquet of fruit-driven herbal notes. A trace of malt, too. The palate follows on faithfully: it's light-bodied, lean, crisp and dry to finish with a dab of tannin grip, in acceptable balance. A basic chardonnay, well presented.
