Expert Reviews

95 Points - Cameron Douglas MSReally lovely bouquet of Pinot Noir - pure, ripe, plush and fruity. Aromas of cherry and raspberry, some plum and dark rose scents, wood spices and salty sea air with a dry stone mineral layer. On the palate - delicious! Flavours reflect the nose with a wonderful purity of flavour, intensity and persistence. Fine tannins, balanced, focused and well made with a lengthy finish. Best drinking from early 2021 through 2025+.
94 Points - Sam Kim - Wine OrbitWonderfully fruited and immediately appealing, the wine shows dark cherry, sweet plum, toasted spice, vanilla and hazelnut characters on the nose. It’s equally satisfying on the palate, delivering excellent weight and terrific fruit purity, combined with elegant complexity, finishing gorgeously long and expansive.
93 Points - Bob Campbell MW - The Real ReviewBright, fresh and fruity pinot noir with plum, raspberry, cassis, shoe box and a suggestion of fresh herb flavours. A moderately concentrated wine that’s a pleasure to drink now but shows development potential.

Who made it?

Jules is a local Marlborough girl, where she has made a name for herself as a Senior Winemaker for the region's largest wineries and a Consultant Winemaker throughout the region. After a few years in Italy, Jules had attuned her vision for her wines bringing a more 'down to earth' enjoyment of wine which she portrays in every bottle. -Italy brought home to me the importance of enjoying great wine with the people you love in a place that's important to you. Drinking wine should be less about status and more about creating good memories.- Jules Taylor

I love experimenting with wines and encourage our Wine Collective members to try something different all the time. It’s amazing how the same grape variety from 2 different regions made by 2 different wine makers can taste so different. Some wines can be enjoyed on their own while others are better with food. If we all liked the same thing we’d be pretty boring.
