How was it made?
The fruit for this Pinot Noir was hand harvested from the Tamar Valleyand East Coast regions of Tasmania. Intense aromas of red berriesprecede subtle spice so typical of Tasmanian Pinot Noir. A moderatelydry winter preceded a very dry and frosty Spring, with the northexperiencing a large number of significant frosts during Oct and intoNovember, although luckily no damage was done. A warmer thanaverage growing season followed, with December and January recordingrecord high temperatures, and helping to fuel significant bushfiresburning in the state’s south west. A handful of cooler days in Februaryhelped to avoid a new summer heatwave record, reducing the 2019summer season to the second hottest on record after 2016.
