Winemakers Note

Denis Dubourdieu Domaines George, the aesthete and goldsmith of wine making, Pierre the visionary, Denis the great winegrower and reference winemaker for the whites and finally Fabrice and Jean Jacques, the worthy heirs, it is an understatement to say that the Dubourdieu family has marked the wine industry through the ages. Today, the family owns several renowned properties, including Château Reynon, Clos Floridène, Château du Haura and Château Doisy-Daëne. Fabrice and Jean-Jacques, the new generation, honor their father's extraordinary career and keep highlighting the exceptional know-how of this family. Le Clos Floridène, a creation of the Dubourdieu family Clos Floridène today covers an area of 40 hectares in the Graves appellation. Its name is a tribute to Denis and Florence, both founders of the estate. Over the last three decades they have successively purchased plots located on the best terroirs. Thanks to their hard work, Clos Floridène is now an independant vineyard and an internationally reknowned winery. The red wine of Clos Floridène is vinified in stainless steel vats, with soft extractions. Then the wine is aged for 12 months in barrels.
