100% shiraz, fermented as whole berries, all old oak (and actually old oak at that, ratherthan merely “not new”; the oak here ranged from 5-10 years old).Yes. Buy. ‘Nuff said. Meat, plum, toast and cedarwood characters put on a lovely, fruit-driven-but-savoury show. Oak adds polish. Maybe some game here too but as a positive.Punchy tannin. Robust and bodied, yet charming.
An introduction to the world of Yering Station, this wine stands as an exemplary Victorian expression. Produced with clean and modern winemaking techniques, it is rich, juicy and approachable. Plum fruits are overlayed with an array of dried herbs and earthy spices. Silky yet firm, powerful yet inviting.
How's it taste?
Rich purple and fruits with lovely aromas of chocolate, plums and five spice. On the palate there are dark, brooding flavours of blackberry jam supported by anise and softcedary oak. It's been produced with youthful drinking in mind, however this wine can also be cellared for 5-10 years.

Amanda Yallop - The Real Review
Claret-purple colour, exotic aromas of sweet tobacco and mulled wine. Dry, savoury andfull-bodied, tannins are supple and sleek. Plump cherry and blackberry flavours with ahint of clove and vanilla to finish.
